Thank you for taking a moment to find out who we are at Council Bluffs
Video Services and what makes our professional services different from
other videographers in the Omaha area.
Council Bluffs Video Services is a small personal business
owned by Robert and Linda Benson, who reside right here in Council Bluffs,
Iowa. We are dedicated to providing you with a wonderful video product
quickly and at a very reasonable price, whether it's a video scrapbook, a
film transferred to DVD, or a complete wedding package. Since 1999, we have
been providing Council Bluffs and the surrounding communities with
cherished keepsakes on video tape, CD, and DVD that are treasured to
this day and will continue to be treasured in the years ahead. We have also
provided video services for clients in other parts of the country, including
St. Louis, Missouri and as far away as Montgomery, Alabama.
Weddings are our primary video project, but we also helped clients
with video tape and film transfers to DVD and many video scrapbooks ranging
from graduations to memorials. The video scrapbooks are also known as photo
montages, video montages or slideshows. We, on occasion, make custom CDs
of audio transfers from LP and/or tape. Other memorable projects we have done
include corporate award ceremonies, corporate training videos, charity
benefits and office holiday parties. We know that no two people are
the same and we feel that your video should have it's own character
rather than being a carbon copy of someone elses.
Today, we are completely digital... from taping your event with
broadcast-quality digital video cameras right through to the last edit and
custom printing directly on your DVD. This ensures virtually no loss of image
quality along the editing process. If you should request a copy on VHS
tape, it will be produced from the digital master, providing you with the
best possible image.
While recording your event, we remain as discrete and unobtrusive as
possible. We utilize professional low light capable, broadcast-quality,
compact digital video cameras, which usually eliminate the need for bright
lights. You will hardly notice us. We will also work together with other
professionals you have hired to make the event memorable. In addition,
we do all of the original recording and editing ourselves to ensure that
your final DVD is up to our standards. We do not contract these services out.
Our video editing systems are state of the art and all digital. Editing is
performed on a suite of digital non-linear software that has revolutionized
creativity in video production. Your video will be professionally produced
and can be enhanced with the use of a variety effects such as slow motion,
black and white imaging and background dissolves, that lead to a video that
flows, from the beginning to the end. If you would like specifics on the

Our backgrounds:
Robert started doing photographic work in the mid 1980's. After a wide
variety of projects, which of course included weddings, Robert decided to
start videotaping in order to capture those special moments that can only be
experienced again and truly appreciated through video. This is because
only video will allow you to not only see but HEAR the event
all over again.
Linda brings experience from the commercial business world and also a
graphic arts background, ranging from graphic design to website development,
including much of this site.
